Sunday Morning Church Nursery Leader
We are currently looking to fill the position of Lead Nursery Staff for our church nursery. We are looking for someone who is experienced in a group childcare setting, and would be comfortable leading a small circle time with the children.
Our nursery on average has about 15 children, ages ranging in infant to three years. The nursery is staffed weekly with adult volunteers from the church, who are there to assist in any way needed. The Nursery Leader would be looked to for guidance in schedule (for example, when to have snack). There will be a schedule for the morning that should be followed, but there is definitely room for creativity on your part.
During the school year the Sunday morning hours will be 8:30am-12:30pm.
During the summer months, there is no Sunday school. During this time the hours will be 10am-12:30pm.
The Nursery Leader should have knowledge of child bible stories, and be comfortable telling them to the children. Other spiritual roles the Nursery Leader would take on are: praying during circle time, praying before snack (there is a prayer song), singing Christian songs.
We do not want to take away from your own church experience, so it would be ideal if you attend a catholic church or another denomination that holds services other than on Sunday mornings.
